Learning to play the piano is a great step toward learning any instrument. You learn how to read music, achieve a base knowledge in music theory, how to perform, and skills in technique. These can easily be transfered to almost any instrument. Learning how to play the piano, or develop your skills further shows dedication and elicits self confidence in knowing that you can truly learn to master something.
