I am a music teacher that resides in Utah County. I play the piano and harp and have a basic understanding of many instruments. I minored in music while attending college and have experience with playing in orchestras, symphonies, wind ensembles, etc. I started Group Toddler Music Classes because I wanted younger children to start learning all that music has to offer, without having to be old enough to start actually learning to play instruments. I had the idea when one of my aunts mentioned music therapy for her almost 2 year-old son. I immediately hit the books on ideas of how to engage young children in learning music. I came up with a lesson plan that includes learning the alphabet with animals and instruments, exercises that work with motor skill development, counting songs, musical games, and more. Each exercise includes music one way or another. The best part is that the lesson plan stays the same each week, so children know what to expect; but each lesson features a different letter/season/theme, which gives each lesson a unique twist. I usually accept ages 2-5 (if younger or older exceptions can be made, just ask and we'll work something out). I have 4-6 slots available per class. A minimum of 4 slots is required per class. If class slots aren't filled, lesson slot will be cancelled. (In other words: if you want a specific class at a specific time and no one else has signed up; ask your friends/neighbors to join so we can fill up the slots and have lessons).

 

I hold three - 30 minutes lessons each month. The month's fee is $55 (including material fees). That's right, you don't have to pay anything extra unless you would like a digital copy of our monthly songs/chants/lesson outline. That is an extra $15 each month.
